In a traditional Filipino family, the 7th or 18th birthday of a family member requires a special and elaborate celebration. For my nephew’s 7th birthday party, my sister asked if I can cook a yummy Astig dish. Needless to say, I said yes and made a Filipino all time merienda favorite, Pancit Palabok. Just how much of a favorite is it? Check the before and after pics below.
I’m quite happy I filled many happy stomachs that day, and hopefully I’ll have more cooking opportunities at other future parties.
PS. I’m proud to mention, the “after” Palabok tray was replenished by a new one and resulted to also being completely devoured, it was a hit!
